JUNMO KOO
Junmo was born in South Korea and moved into Australia in 1996. He has been married to Kyounghee for 11 years and has two sons and one daughter.
He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord during the military service in Korea when he was 20 year old. Since then, he worked for churches and studied theology at a Christian university in Korea and several theological colleges in Australia.
Junmo's Christian journey ranges over two countries (Korea and Australia), two cultures, and two languages. He is a bilingual Christian. His background had led him to be an open minded Christian and has affected all aspects of his Christian life.
For Junmo, sharing the Christian story is sharing real life, through laughing together, crying together, and hoping together. So he likes to regard church as a spiritual family.
His service for the church, however, is not limited to church members only. He believes that the church should not limit its function in church building only but take its context and surroundings into account. He would like to work with church members to respond to the need of people outside the church.
Junmo acknowledges that people have different life experiences and their gifts are varying. He believes that God is working through these diverse people in our world.
