Creator God
You made all things in your wisdom,
And in your love you save us.
We pray for the whole of creation.
Come to the aid of those who work for justice for the planet and all its diversity,
who struggle to protect our earth from those who would forge it’s beauty into power.
Grant that our children and our children’s children may freely enjoy
The fullness of your creation.
We pray for enlightened leaders who respect your creation;
Guide them with your pure and peaceable wisdom
so that sanity might be restored to the governance of our world.
Free us from the illusion
That freedom can be secured by killing others
That war can bring peace
That destruction can bring healing
That weapons can keep us safe
Grant us leaders of vision, who govern with integrity and awareness;
Grant us leaders who make decisions based in compassion;
Grant us leaders who make policies with wisdom and without fear.
Protect us and all creation O Lord from tyranny in all its disguises and grant us peace. Amen
